I suppose long-time enthusiasts of the sport know all about this site, but for me, it's a relatively recent (and wonderful) discovery. It contains countless skating videos that aren't even available on YouTube, most at .wmv quality, which is markedly superior to YouTube's flash vids.

The Emily thread, for example, is here:

http://www.fsvids.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1191

It includes .wmv videos of some of Emily's recent TV appearances, like the most recent Today show, the RR episode, and the Skating for Life numbers. (These are also on YouTube, but fsvids.com has the raw files, in better quailty, from which the YouTube vids were created.)

It also includes an ABC video of Emily's 2007 Marshall's Showcase, which is IMO by far the best of all of her Proud Marys, and the best-filmed too.

There are many more treasures to be found there. For example, someone recently uploaded Lisa Ervin's 1993 Skate America LP, which was wonderful to see. (In it, Lisa, who is so lovely herself, wears one of the most gorgeous costumes I've ever seen on a figure skater -- it's a video of astonishing beauty.)

It's a tricky site to navigate, because sometimes, a video might be in the thread of an event rather than a skater's own thread (e.g., in the '93 SA folder rather than the Lisa Ervin folder). And the real pity is that because fsvids.com users favour free file-sharing sites, the videos disappear over time, so one needs to ask for reposts of previously-uploaded material. Also, the search function appears to be disabled.

But still, what a phenomenal resource, especially for newer fans like myself, who have seen virtually none of these classic performances.
