Novice Posts: 109 Group: Members Member #242 Joined: July 22, 2008	So, do all of Emily's fans know what her birthday is? I'd like to claim that I did something terribly clever to find out, but no. I just happened to discover her bio page at isufs.org: http://www.isufs.org/bios/isufs00008503.htm Her birthday is January 26 (1989), in case anyone wants to send her a present. (Just two days after Nationals -- I hope she leaves the competition with a gift in the form of gold, silver, or bronze.) She'll be 20 -- finally out of her teens. How extraordinary to think of all of the accomplishments that she's already had, all while still a teenager. And so much more to come! I especially liked reading this in her bio: Quote: Hobbies: reading, baking, cooking Figure skating really couldn't find a better role model for young girls than Emily, both in terms of body image and in terms of character. I wish she got more publicity. When you think of all the tawdry Hollywood celebs that girls idolize today, Emily is an infinitely better star for them to emulate and be inspired by. Novice Posts: 123 Group: Members Member #44 Joined: January 30, 2007	Yep, I knew her birthday. Partly because they made a big deal of it during some previous nationals. Partly because mine is Jan 23rd. Friday of Nationals will be my birthday. I joked about partying with Emily but dream on.

Intermediate Posts: 30 Group: Members Member #243 Joined: July 26, 2008	No surprise there for fans of skating - Skaters' bios are really accessible - icenetwork.com, wikipedia, ISU and fan forums etc Particle Man -Emily's birthday coincided with the Spokane Nationals in 2007. Do you remember Sasha's birthday when they bought out a cake for her at 2003 Skate America in Reading, PA? For Emily at Nationals - My wish for her is that she give a performance she can be proud of.- land some clean triples, upgrade her footwork, and get her confidence back. It would be great if she can pull a Savoie - i.e.medal while going to college full time.
