Thanks to Emily's Twitter updates, I tuned in today to see her perform on the Today Show. She looked GORGEOUS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q04aIK6EbTE&fmt=18 She's wearing her hair longer now, which is a beautiful style for her. And the dress that she was wearing was absolutely lovely. Still on the thin side, but apart from that, this is the most attractive I've seen Emily look since Ice Chips 2008. I heard that she did reasonably well in her first competitive event, a few days ago. I know the Olympics are a challenge, but I hope, I hope, I hope she can make it. I'm just really, really glad that she took the year off, to give it her all. I'm hoping beyond hope for her success. Edited by kioewen, Oct 22 2009, 03:15 PM.

That's funny because in the video description, the poster points out that Emily has a "slightly curvier-than-average build (for a figure skater)," which "is a welcome relief from the underweight, skeletal girls who are prevalent in skating today." I don't know, IMO she doesn't look to be on the thin side. I think she looks good. |
