I like her bcause no1 needs to tell her to have fun since its obvious from her smile and energy how much she loves skating. Novice Posts: 177 Group: Members Member #16 Joined: November 2, 2006	Emily is so fresh, looks sweet, skates with abandon and has lots of class and smarts...and she is a real pretty, no she's beautiful. I love her smile, her JOY and I wish her all God's blessings. I KNEW she would be on the Olympic team, even after Kwan was selected. I just KNEW it and I have had a couple of strange 'dreams' [or maybe one was a vision] of her. I see EMILY as becoming a Gold Medalist, a Champion, and a star. I just wish her all good and not the troubles that some skaters have had in their personal lives such as Dorothy Hamill and Sonja H.? For me Emily shined when she spoke with Tom Brokaw. He was amazed at her maturity and knowledge. Emily is a real special skater and a real special young lady. Good luck--may God shine Light and Love into her heart. Pulling for Emmie!! fanofgold

(Self-Proclaimed) Custodial Office Posts: 1,118 Group: Global Moderator Member #14 Joined: November 2, 2006	What strikes me most is her subtle optimistic undertone in everything she does (primarily from the smile... ) and her ability to clearly express her emotions with such fervor and excitement. Her facial expressions that are present every time she skates suggest that she puts all of her heart and effort into every performance. Watching her skate for 5 minutes feels like sitting down and having a meaningful (yet figurative) conversation for 5 hours...

Duh, they hate it when they mess up, but it really bugs me when they start sighing and basically call for people to comfort them. Of course it's always best to never settle for less than your best, but you won't always win or do well and you have to accept that.

Just want to say hello and to say I'm a big Emily and Sarah fan, hence esfan. Been a fan of Emily from the first time I saw her on TV, love her enthusiasm on ice and exuberant personality. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Senior Posts: 929 Group: Members Member #27 Joined: December 4, 2006	The first time I saw Emily was at the 1998 North Atlantic Regional Championships in Niagara Falls, NY. My brother was competing and Emily was their competing as a juvenile at the age of 8. She was amazing then and you could just tell that she was going somewhere with this. I love the fact that Emily truly enjoys what she is doing and it showed back at the age of 8 already. She is bubbly and joyful and that shows through her both on and off the ice. She has amazing jumps and she is just wonderful to watch. I remember back a few years ago when she was competing at sectionals and my mom was talking to Emily's dad. My brother was competing at sectionals too and the entire time Emily stood there and was patient and everything. She was sweet and she was smiling then too. She is graceful both on and off the ice and she is very mature for her age. She takes everything with style and doesn't act as though she is better than everyone else and that attitude will take her places. She is great!

Intermediate Posts: 41 Group: Members Member #35 Joined: January 4, 2007	I unintentionally saw Emily during the Winter Olympics when my mom turned on a tape of the skating programs during dinner (yes, I'm 19 and still living at home). Skating has never interested me enough to follow it; instead it was Emily's personality that shown through her skating that really attracted me. She's so spirited, fun loving and has a great smile (as you all point out). Plus she puts more personality and artistry into her skating than most skaters I've seen. Her "Proud Mary" program is an excellent example of this, few jumps but overflowing with style.
