Novice Posts: 177 Group: Members Member #16 Joined: November 2, 2006	Just now on her official site it was posted that Emily has decided to go to Harvard in the fall. There's more info there... I've read in various places that she was leaning towards Harvard for various reasons. Of course I wish she'd come here and go to school here--we call our university 'Harvard on the Border.') Best wishes to Emily...may God guide her steps....

I wished she'd come here to "Harvard on-the-Rio Grande" ... this is what they call this West Texas university.....near where I live... No ice or water here-- as real surfers just surf on sand!

The last day of classes is June 11th with "Senior Awards" at 7:30 that day, so at least she won't be in school until the 21st. You can check it out yourself here: School Calendar

When she first announced, it actually made the local news. The female anchor said: "Well, Emily Hughes is turning crimson. No, she's not blushing...she'll be attending Harvard this fall." The anchors also joked that any sibling rivalry between Emily and Sarah will now intensify since one is a Harvard girl and the other goes to Yale.

(it was big news in Boston) It was pretty much the same script...but the second time it started out with: "What has Emily Hughes is turning crimson? Well, herdecision to attend Harvard." However, after seeing it a second time, I realized the video was of the day Emily returned to high school after coming back from the Olympics. Unfortunately, for her, there was one shot from behind her as she was walking down a crowed hallway. She was wearing a brown shirt and jeans and just above her pants, the camera clearly caught a shot of her underwear showing. In fact, it looked as if the back of the shirt may have actually been a little tucked into the waistband of her underwear. I hope Emily never sees that video.
