It isn't the same as Seth FE8 and Marcus FE7. Marcus FE6 is outclassed too early with no chance of making it up whatsoever, his growths are pitiful and while his supports are excellent, it's not why you you would use a stat crippled unit for so long. At around Level 10, Alan and Lance can already match Marcus in the important statistics. Level 10, they'll have no problem reaching that in a few chapters if leveled properly, which will be done during debate. While Marcus can competently be argued for the earlygame, there's actually quite alot to debate for the other characters as well-- because they come to match him much quicker than characters would compare to someone such as Seth or FE7 Marcus. Level 13+ onwards, the other SKs practically crush him.. even Noah. There's little reason to use Marcus from that point on, other than utility support, which can be covered easily from Chapter 7 onwards. Now, I say Chapter 7-- the rest of the chapters are to be considered... how much chance does Marcus have for survival here? He has good supports(A noteworthy point, but how long will they be effective, furthermore, are we wasting support slots with those who support him due to his weakness?) and high movement/rescue ability. Other SKs can compete. It's not worth it. I'd have earlygame points, and nothing else. Even then, the earlygame points can simply be matched with "Marcus is needed simply for utility/softening" while other units are still going to be used. |
