[size=5]"Dropping" for a Rank[/size] When making a topic, or "dropping", there are no specific topic title guideline you must follow, but make sure to keep your titles reasonable. Simply create a topic and you will be judged accordingly. -You may drop for a rank as many times as you want. -You MAY drop an old piece of work (not everything has to be new), but you may NOT use someone else's creations. If it is found that you have violated this rule, expect to receive ample punishment. -[size=10]YOU MUST provide a link to the image source that you used, be it a stock or a render. This will help us determine how much true effort was put into your banner.[/size] 2. [size=5]Getting Ranked[/size] When you drop for a rank, you will be judged by members and Judges alike. Drop topics will remain open until the end of the week, in which during this time, the final ranking decision shall be made by either Feez or Cubic. Ranking decisions will be made by taking a general consensus "average" by using the following scale: Feez = +3 points Cubic = +3 points Judge = +2 points Member = +1 point Here is a standard template for ranking that Judges and members may follow: Code: `[b][i]GRAPHICS[/b][/i] [u]Text[/u]: [u]Render[/u] (if used): [u]Blending[/u]: [u]Background[/u]: [u]Overall[/u]:` 3. [size=5]Rankings[/size] Once you earn a rank through a drop, you are prompted to put in the appropriate banner in your signature and maintain your rank. The Ranks are as follows: Master High Expert Expert Low Expert Inter Beginner Beginner - To keep the beginning rank is simple. You simply just have to consistently drop beginner-worthy banners. In other words, it is impossible to not attain and keep this rank if you have at least dropped one piece of graphics/art. Intermediate - Keeping the intermediate rank requires the following. You must first attain the intermediate rank through a drop, and then you must make sure to NOT get 4 consecutive beginner ranks in future drops. Expert - To keep the expert rank, the following is required. You must first attain the expert rank through a drop, and then you must make sure to NOT get 3 consecutive intermediate (or lower) ranks in future drops. This also applies if you've gotten a Low/High Expert rank as well. Master - Getting and keeping the Master rank is the most difficult, as it really distinguishes the best of Fusion's Graphic Artists. You must make sure NOT to get 2 consecutive expert (or lower) drops in future ranks. Only a JUDGE may issue Master ranks! ALL DROPS THAT RECEIVE A MASTER RANK WILL BE HAILED IN THE HALL OF FAME. THIS IS A WELL-EARNED HONOR. 4. [size=5]Etiquette[/size] All ranking done by members and Judges must be completely honest and without any chivalry. If it is found (or obvious) that a member ranks another member's piece of work poorly because of personal issues, YOU WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN. At first, a verbal warning will be given and your judging will not count. On the second offense, you will be banned from participating from further ranking/judging. Furthermore, if you take offense from a member's ranking to your piece, and a Judge has approved of the member's manner in his/her ranking, do not expect to be sympathized with. Not everyone has the same opinion, and some "good" things can be considered "bad" in the eyes of others. If you start to argue and bring up a useless argument in your topic because of this, you will be firstly verbally warned, and if you consistently argue, you will be banned from further participation. [size=10]REMINDER: THE RANKING BOARD IS NOT A GENERAL COMMENTS BOARD. THE FAN ART SECTION EXISTS FOR A REASON. THE RANKING BOARD IS FOR RANKINGS ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT POST JUST GENERAL COMMENTS ON A PIECE![/size] You must drop for rank at least once a month to maintain your rank.
