You do get 85 Exp from it, but that only adds up to 4.25 levels. Not quite enough to catch up to Seth's huge level lead. Seth has the nearly as useful horse utility, and Eirika will as well as soon as she promotes. It may be a bit late, but barely later then when you get that Warp Staff D= Also, Seth can use all lances except the Steel Lance, Brave Lance, and those shitty slayer lances without AS loss. Vanessa can use the Iron Lance, Killer Lance, and Dragon Lance on top of the Slim Lance without AS loss. lawl Since flying isn't a huge advantage over just being mounted, Moulder's healing ability is all he has against Seth's huge stat advantage, and it isn't enough to beat it. Eirika doesn't have quite as huge advantages because of her late promotion, but until around that time Seth is completely raping both of your characters combined with his huge stat leads so we're still winning. Yeah, you have the advantage bonus-wise. But, you said Vanessa is staying near Moulder rather than using the bonuses of flying. Yet, she still has the disadvantages, such as no terrain bonuses and a weakness to arrows.
