Otherwise, pairings should be considered. Pairings don't matter. You can pair someone without them even touching combat a single time. What Lakche does has absolute no bearing on what Ayra does for your rankings in the first generation. Fury can recieve 0 EXP and still be paired with Levin very easily. Pairings have absolutely no relevance to your first generation ranks. "My kids rock!" is not valid in the slightest. When you play the game, you don't give someone like Noish the Hero Lance because he destroys it forever. That's just logic and common sense. If you give that weapon to him, you are losing one of the best weapons in the game and harming another unit later on in the game. Pairings, however, don't affect the actual gameplay of the first generation. Inheritance, however, does.
