When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat.

Holyn is a bit more useful during First Generation; however, Finn is usable all throughout second gen and is much needed to protect Leaf and Nanna.

K, we are debating Generation 1, so I win? This is, after all, the Fire Emblem 4: Generation 1 debate.

Finn gets a hero lance from Cuan. Whether or not he keeps it is in the air. Since Finn does leave your part after chapter 3, you would have to do chapter 4 and 5 without it, if Finn does keep it.

I'll add a new topic in. Holyn's offense is better.

Holyn has 14.6 STR, 18.6 SKL, 17.6 SPD, and 11.6 DEF, level 14.

Finn would be like level 7 or 8, when you get Holyn? Maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more, I dunno. 11.1 STR, 10.8 SKL, 12.1 SPD, 9.1 DEF.

Holyn uses a Steel Blade for 30.6 Atk, and 11.6 AS. Finn uses the Hero Lance for 26.1 Atk, and .1 AS. Now, I'm not sure how the Hero's Sword works in this game, but... Well, Finn is guaranteed at least 2 hits. I don't know if he needs to have more SPD than the enemy to attack another 2 times or not. All I'm going to say is that .1 AS is horrible. Makes his defense much worse than Holyns, thats for sure.

Holyn also has Moonlight hit. Negates enemy's DEF. At this point, its an 18.6 chance to activate in a single hit, and gets as high as 27 later on. So, this adds only Holyn's large offensive victory.

Holyn's Offense > Fin.
