The limit for the survival/protect chapters always seems to be equal to the amount of turns they take (most of them are either 7 or 11)...so when you say that it counts the very end as another turn, does that mean you're guaranteed to have an effective 1 turn loss anyway? i.e. Talons Alight has a limit of 7 and takes 7 turns, but the game counts 8 to your progress? EDIT: Oh cool, your site says beating the boss deletes the extra turn. So that's where that myth came from ("if you don't beat the boss you don't get the tactics point"). This would almost be a reason to take on Vaida in Unfulfilled Heart, but she's damn hard to beat and the Spear she comes with in Cog of Destiny is worth 9000G. Even if you obtain the one in Unfulfilled Heart via the Mine Glitch it's only worth 1500G according to this. However, if you'd like a turn added to your tactics then I suppose you should go and figure out how to kill Puzon (ouch), Sealen (free Dragonshield too) and Ursula (I always did that anyway). Pirate Ship and Kinship's Bond are more like normal chapters with the goal "kill boss" to end the chapter except that if you really suck it ends at a certain turn # and in Kinship's Bond you can't let them to Nils. |
