Conversely, Nasir is the reward for winning. That should give you some information as to who is better =P. I don't particularly like the dragons anyway... you just don't get to use them very much at all. You don't -have- to use Aether to beat the Black Knight. It's also possible to beat him using a combination of skills like Resolve and Wrath, etc. to kill him... if you -really- wanted to. But there's no real reason not to give Ike Aether, because it's the best occult skill. Maybe you don't give Ike Aether if you feel like a challenge, or if you feel like the skill is too broken (like reinforce =D, <3 Tanith)
