Actually, A is the default route you take, you go there even if you don't visit either village (but you'll want the Killer Bow anyway). I don't know everything about these items, but I distinctly remember that visiting certain houses with Lot and Ward worked in 10B to get Speedwings and something else, it probably does in 11A as well.
