Granted, they all have a bit of catchup to do, but if you're willing to use Rolf, I don't see how that can be much of a problem. Once Marcia gets somewhat close to on par with the rest of your team, she's gonna be one of your fastest units, only beaten out by myrmidons, who are locked to swords, which deal less damage. That means that Marcia will be one of your top offensive units for like the entire midgame. Makalov has killer stats once he catches up, and doesn't really have survival issues when he does join. Astrid is somewhat the same as Makalov except she levels up faster and has kind of worse stats. Still, they both can get Axes on promotion, they both have access to the Knight Ward, meaning they both can do good damage and double often. In any case, Astrid will likely be one of your first to 20/20. Tormod, Sothe and Devdan are pretty bad, but you got Mia, Rolf, Lucia, Bastian, and lots of others who are significantly more useless. Devdan and Tormod are actually surprisingly good when supporting each other (+3 Attack) assuming Devdan had the Knight Ward from the get-go. Sothe can steal...Take that as you will. I find him useless since you only ever need one thief, and Volke is all around superior to Sothe.
