Dorcas vs. Isadora! Let’s do this! First of all, I know how much you love Isadora and how you say she’s a schexy paladin, but really, I don’t care whether you love her or not. You love her, I don’t. So let’s just skip that part. Now, the real stuff. A big plus for Dorcas already is that he comes way earlier than Isadora, and he has Lyn Mode to train, so he doesn’t join underleveled, but probably overleveled, which is a good thing. Isadora joins way later and doesn’t have a level lead, because Dorcas will probably be promoted by now. Dorcas will, most likely, have a level lead over Isadora, although it will probably be a small one. It disappears after some time, though. This is ,however, still a postitive for Dorcas. W1n. Dorcas uses Axes. Axes are pwn. Dorcas also has the Con to actually use Axes. And upon promotion, he also gains Bows. This gives him an extra advantage against fliers. Isadora doesn’t have this advantage. Isadora’s advantage however, is that she has complete Weapon Triangle Control. However, what does complete Weapon Triangle Control mean when you can’t wield weapons without losing AS? Nothing! Really, Isadora’s Strength is low, so she will need the heavier weapons with more Might to gain the extra needed Att. But what happens next, is that she loses a lot of AS. That is really bad. But if she uses a weapon with low Weight and thus low Might, she can’t kill. So when she uses low Weight weapons she doesn’t kill and when she uses high Might weapons she doesn’t kill. Both don’t double a lot, but Dorcas actually has Strength. With his Strength, he can actually deal a lot of damage instead of little damage. Isadora’s Strength is just too low. If Isadora wouldn’t have such awful Con, then she would probably be much better than Dorcas. But now, she isn’t. And her pwn movement and Paladin utility don’t make up for her lack of offense. “Isadora helps the Funds Rank more so she lolraeps Dorcas now!” Sure, but Dorcas helps the Experience Rank more, and the Experience Rank is probably harder to S Rank, so Dorcas helps the Rankings more than Isadora does. And Dorcas using Axes, the cheapest weapons, is also a plus, so he actually helps the Funds Ranking more than others early-game, because they use more expensive weapons. W1n. Now, let’s move on to the stats department. First, I want to look at offense, and offense only. I’ll use Dorcas with A Bartre/B Geitz and Isadora with A Harken. And perhaps B Marcus, but I’m not sure about that. Let’s just assume they’re both level 20/1, just for convenience. 21 Dorcas, A Bartre Steel Axe: 30.6 Att, 9.4 AS, 109.5 Hit, 22.9 Crit - - 46.6 HP, 44.5 Avoid, 11.7 Def, 7 Res, 18.2 CEvade 21 Isadora Iron Axe: 21 Att, 12 AS, 104 Hit, 6 Crit - - 28 HP, 34 Avoid, 8 Def, 6 Res, 10 CEvade Iron Lance: 20 Att, 14 AS, 114 Hit - - 38 Avoid Iron Sword: 18 Att, 16 AS, 119 Hit - - 42 Avoid Pwnd. Horribly. Isadora might have more AS, but doesn’t have a chance of matching Dorcas’s massive Att. And if Isadora comes close to matching Dorcas’s Att, she loses a lot of AS, comes near Dorcas’s, and still loses. Dorcas also has a Crit lead, and with a Steel Axe, he has more Hit than Isadora with an Iron Axe w1n. And now add his advantage against fliers to all this, and you have even moar w1n.Durability is also no contest. Dorcas wins everything. And he doesn’t have a weakness to horseslaying weapons. What if he still wins endgame? 40 Dorcas, A Bartre/B Geitz Killer Axe: 42.1 Att, 13.2 AS, 138.7 Hit, 71.7 Crit - - 59.7 HP, 70.6 Avoid, 17.5 Def, 10.9 Res, 31.7 CEvade 40 Isadora, A Harken Killer Axe: 31.2 Att, 19.4 AS, 131.5 Hit, 59.3 Crit - - 42.2 HP, 72.4 Avoid, 11.8 Def, 10.8 Res, 26.1 CEvade Offense, well, Dorcas has way more Att, and also has a good Crit lead. So while he may not be able to double, he still has a very good chance to kill enemies with his massive Att and great Crit. And he has more Hit than Isadora, which is also a positive for him. Durability. Isadora with her minor Avoid lead can’t beat Dorcas’ huge HP lead and his Defense and CEvade leads. Undeniable. Then there’s Isadora’s Paladin utility, like reaching villages and rescuing. Well, if you want her to rescue units, go ahead. But this way Dorcas will even pwn her more. And reaching villages, sure. It’s an advantage. But at the other side Dorcas also has the advantage of having bows for an advantage against fliers and he isn’t weak to horseslaying weapons. Dorcas > Isadora. Short but sweet (I hope). |
