Depending on the unit's inbuilt supports and what data you transferred from PoR, you could have anywhere between 0 and 5 Bond supports for any particular unit. Without transfer data, the most you can have is 4. You can only get the bonus for 4 at any one time, though, because the units must be adjacent to gain the bonus (one unit on each side). It's a little impractical to make such a formation the majority of the time, though, so having more Bonds mostly just increases the chances of using them. I found the support content in this game very disappointing, too. Fortunately, the lackluster supports are the only area I feel the game is really weakened in; the proverbial Achille's heel. The rest of the game has so much improved that I'm willing to forgive it for now. I just hope they improve it next game. |
