That said, I usually kill him with Miledy. For pretty much the same reason I'd kill Elto with Sigurd, Fury with Levin, Lloyd with Nino and Tina with Saphy: because I can. (except this one has no drawbacks) Roy will promote after the gaiden that comes after this chapter. Or, if you're not doing the gaiden, he'll promote right off the bat.
