Ike shouldn't be high tier because he has too many counters, namely characters that are speedy. Dudes like Falco, Fox, Toon Link, Metaknight, Marth, Pikachu, Zero Suit Samus, Squirtile, Sheik, and Ice Climbers just fuck him up because they're so much quicker and lighter on their feet. Jiggypuff just fucks with Ike by bouncing around him while he can't even hit due to his speed issues.

Although Aether is a fucking amazing recovery.

Ike should stay in high tier because many of the players that can beat him are in the same tier. Other than that, Ike is high tier because he has really big knockback, and has the range to hit. It often depends on if you turtle or go on the offensive.
