I personally find Rolf a pain to train in the beginning, but it becomes easier once the crows come into play at Ch 12 or so. Shinon on the other hand comes with A-rank bow mastery, which is hard to get to me with bows since they can't be used to counter most attackers. And his grwoths are like laguz-growths minus the guarantee +1HP for every level. ~Growth Rates~ HP: 75% Speed: 65% Strength: 65% Defense: 50% Magic: 20% Resistance: 40% Skill: 70% Luck: 35% Compared to Rolf, I'd say I'd defintiely pick Shinon. But then again, Rolf's ability to lvl up 40 times can possibly beat Shinon's 20/20 stats. But luck plays an important factor here. With Shinon, getting RNG screwed is much rarer. Not to mention Rolf needs a lot of baby-ing if you want to use him. I'm not an expert on supports, but Rolf seems to have more people, but Shinon's ones are better. Correct me on this if I'm wrong. |
