Well, judging from what's been said, I would think that something like this would be better: Panel 1 Reaver Solide Soja Panel 2 Rin Nick Neo This way, Panel 1 is composed of opinionated but balanced people - Reaver is more liberal, Soja is more conservative, and I'm almost exactly half and half - whereas Panel 2 features neutral people. Thus, both panels end up politically neutral (as most issues split along party lines). Not that I expect bias to play a major or even a significant part in this, but there is _some_ subconscious bias at play in most cases. Also, I think that in the final rounds (for both brackets and for the tournament as a whole), both panels should get to vote. If the panels fail to agree, a 7th judge should be selected to determine the winner. This way, we ensure that we're as clear as possible as to the winner of this tournament - usually, the #1, #2, and #3 spots are the only ones that are definitive in a double-elimination tournament. |
