I'm going with Mekkah. Mekkah effectively proved Moulder's utility not as a lone unit, but to a team. The first thing that bugged me about this debate was that Inui kept insisting healing was "a convenience and not vital". I giggled. Second thing was how ineffective I felt the counter to Moulder's "team improvement" argument was. Mekkah: "3) Moulder's team is higher leveled/bigger because he saves even more EXP than Seth. I either have an extra unit, or each of them is stronger." was not effectively countered thoughout the debate. Inui's response, "And "Moulder over Seth does blah blah blah" is not a valid arguement since they don't pull from the same EXP pool.", sort of helps Mekkah's case because Moulder pulling EXP form a separate pool means more EXP is available for others. Also, Inui repeated arguments that Mekkah effectively countered, which was another thing that bugged me. I didn't like how Inui's final post stressed Moulder "was the worst unit on the enemy phase", yet Mekkah countered this argument effectively. Inui's response to Mekkah's Moulder improves any unit's durability was (paraphrased) "Moulder had to be near the frontlines and his durability is garbage, thus he won't do that". Also, directly from his counter: "Adding another fighter, especially a durable one like Seth, adds to your team's durability by adding to the amount of units taking hits." More units taking more hits = wtf I felt Mekkah soundly defeated this argument. So for Mekkah's efforts in proving how Moulder's presence improves your team overall, I vote Mekkah. |
