he has crap for defense and luck but you simply can't pass up 2 phantoms(ewan and knoll). They are more useful and fun then you think they are. With phantoms having an equal level as the summoner, 1 hp (which distracts bosses), and the +10 exp for summoning them, they are just pure awesome. Plus since you can summon about anywhere and get that 10exp you can put the random number generator in your favor and get the stats you want without battling.
