Erm, harrumph. Former General Nick Hughes, veteran of every war that the English involved their goodselves in between 1066 and 1945 - after which it all went to pot - reporting for duty as a member of this esteemed society, what? Assuming the position, presuming some boundah's not already nabbed the bally spot, of Retired Military Buff-in-Chief, as such being assigned the armchair the very nearest to the fire and absolute right to waffle over the trivial peace-talk of all these modern blighters, hm?
