It doesn't save anymore does it?

This is unfortunately bound to happen to all cartridges that can save (the second generation Pokemon games are notorious for dying obnoxiously early, as is Kirby's Super Star for the SNES).

There IS a way to rectify your problems though!

What you need is a new battery.

This means you need to unscrew and open up the cartridge, take out the old battery, and solder in a new one.

I've done it a couple times now, though I'm still admittedly a little inexperienced at the procedure.

It works.

This is just to make you aware of the fact that your cartridges are still very much playable, and can be saved with a little bit of patience and learning.

Soldering irons w/ coils are NOT expensive. Go to Radioshack.

Mine was 10$

if you need more info, this guy had a great FAQ/Tutorial---
I HIGHLY suggest you look. This guide, for a couple of forum posts, is EXTREMELY easy to understand, HIGHLY comprehensive, and will let you know exactly what you need to do.
