I have no idea how you read that, but Nathan basically dunked the Jappie's head into the water of the river, it is basically upside down at that point. As for breaking the neck being simpler, Nathan didnt' think of that at the time and had his mind set on the whole water > saliva thing. As for "relax as well", don't you have any appreciation for my sarcasm? The rest I really don't have anything to say against.
