Someone trying to enforce the law after due process of law. If you've seen Righteous Kill, the entire movie is basically a series of what I consider vigilante justice -- the two main characters hunt down and kill people who either committed a crime but escaped punishment on a technicality or didn't commit a crime but had strong cases against them, yet were acquitted. Another example would be if someone killed O.J. Simpson. Situations like those -- where due process, fair or unfair, has been administered, yet someone decides to take the law into their own hands -- are what I consider vigilante justice situations. |
