That's true. The Daily Show was making fun of this whole ordeal, with Fox News being all like "Yay, these things are amazing," and fucking endorsing the protests while CNN was being all O'Reilly-esque, in your face, anti-protesting. Well, at least they had the clip that Soja just showed. It's kind of ridiculous, yeah. But seriously, Obama a Fascist? He won the election with both the popular vote and the electoral college, and the House and Senate are both Democrat controlled. It's like that because that's how we voted. Just because your vote didn't go to the side that is more heavily represented in congress and the white house doesn't mean you don't get a say. The whole concept of the Tea Parties are ridiculous, really. The idea is that the wording evokes imagery and history of the American Revolution. I mean, the Boston Tea Party was a significant step towards the revolution, and these teabagging parties kind of suggest that these people are so royally pissed off that they want a revolution. How ridiculous. This is economic policy, it's not fascism. Obama did not cause this economic crisis. In all truth, he's probably going to bring us out of it a lot sooner than if McCain was in office. |
