In Lyn's mode, if for no other reason then Serra, attacking Brigands with Lances is a good idea (assuming the hit percentage isnt too bad, which it shouldnt be). The extra damage taken allows Serra to heal more, and higher-levelled Serra=good. Also, Lyn's Mode Funds rank affects which Gem Lyn has when she joins you. It gives you a little less leeway in HHM Funds, but it isnt a big problem. With healing +1 Hp levels, she should end Lyn's mode above level 3 easily. Promoting early is best done on Serra and Priscilla, since they gain the most from it, the ability to attack. I personally dont like promoting them early since it costs them levels of growth, but if you feel you need it, it doesnt really cost you much.
