I dont see why it's that important.

I mean the names you're used to are fan-romanisations anyways, so it's not like it's weird that an official translation is different.
I can read the Katakana in the untranslated game and the "fan translations" are basically perfect romaji versions of the names and make sense and should have been the real translations.

Marth's Katakana is "Marusu," which makes the most sense as "Marth" in English. Astoria is "Asutoria," another basically perfect translation. Even the bosses are fine in the fan translations: Jioru = Jiol. Perfectly fine.
