LOL Generally, you can only upgrade a laptop through the manufacturer, and just to illustrate how expensive this can be, replacing a motherboard on a Dell Inspiron 6000 is at least $400. RAM is the exception. There's almost always a user-accessible port through which you can replace the RAM sticks to higher spec'd ones, etc. Edited by Soja, May 23 2009, 05:22 PM.
