Thats why from my experience a personal laptop for long use is best when built from scratch, or at least with only a basic setup so you can do whatever you like to it. Especially if you know someone, ask them to do it maybe. At the very least you can skip out on the costs of sending it to the manufacturer. If you do buy a new one, I personally use HP with different OS's so I don't get the said "crap" that comes with it, or at least I uninstall or remove it all, which is also a pain. But honestly, computers are expensive regardless. If you like yours and just want a graphics card, be prepared for the cost. In the end it will be worth it, but don't skimp out. Computers are one of those things that you will often get the quality for the price you pay for it.
