For the past couple weeks the RPG staff has returned to our RPG 2 plans and have expanded on them exponentially. Some time during the next two weeks we'll be slowly taking down RPG 1 and gearing up for our second Grand Opening.
The RPG frame has gone through quite a few changes, some large some small. We have snipped the slow, gigantic battles that were a problem in the previous edition into smaller bite-sized battle types, each yielding it's own small rewards.
Nameable new features include:
- Create three characters instead of one
- More unit options: create a magic-slinging armor or a magic mercenary if you so wish
- Expanded Arena system: fight pre-built baddies or fellow players for a small prize
- Smaller, more player-driven Quest battles available to all players willing to sign-up in time. Players are free to submit their own quest battles.
- Country System: with a beginning cap of six players per country (likely to be lifted if the RPG becomes more popular)
- Risk-free Risk: countries are encouraged to pursue their own Manifest Destinies by conquering rival countries -- through war or more covert means
- Country Advantages: defending your own turf is easier
- Emblem Keys: each country is assigned a key to guard. Collect all keys and gain access to the fabled all-powerful Fire Emblem!
- Quest Support System: not applicable during country battles, but use your relationships with other characters to gain an advantage over your opponents
- Inherited Holy Weapons: players who owned a character in possession of a Holy Weapon in the first RPG may transfer it to one of their characters in RPG 2 – though they have reverted back to their S-rank status and there’s a limit of one Holy Weapon per player
- If you don’t like how your Country Leader is running things, there’s an option to lead your own rebellion and take the leader spot yourself
- More balanced statistically: the suggestions that were never implemented in RPG 1 will be implemented in RPG 2. Such suggestions include universal weapon prices, weapon experience rewards, and the power disparity between magic classes versus physical classes has been corrected.
At the moment we’re completing the Arena System, cutting up maps, and looking for potential Country Leaders. Active players in the previous RPG are preferred. Contact me or Sentenal for information, or simply inquire in this topic.
I probably forgot to mention a few things.
Update: We have all the country leaders we need. RPG 2 will begin soon.
