The President is the Commander in Chief, not congress. Do you think they would vote to declare war on whoever if Obama won't send troops?

Obama's base are the crazy left-wingers, who are largely anti-Israel. He would lose his base if he supported them. Why do you think he hasn't really been supporting them like he should up to now, and would rather go around apologizing for America to the Middle East? Maybe if a war started, Obama would say something like "Hey guys, stop that, make love, not war", but that would probably be the extent of it.

You do realize that the power to declare war lies with Congress and not the president, don't you?

When was the last time congress voted to declare war on someone? And why would a Democrat-controlled congress do that?
