With all the action in that new Metroid game, it almost doesn't seem like Metroid :/
I know, its scary, but maybe change could be....good.  So, appearantly, there will be a little big planet 2 and another one for the psp.... I havent played the first one but I heard it was good. I'll deffinately look into the PSP one. Also, I could have sworn I saw a big ass pikachu while watching the coverage of E3, but I didn't see anything new involving pokemon....hmmmm.....
IMO you shouldn't fix what isn't broke. Super Metroid is still regarded by lots of people to be one of the greatest games ever made. Metroid Prime excellent too, though people don't consider it "the greatest". There are tons of games out there that are just shooters, or are just hack-n-slash. If Zelda was all about the action, with other things put on the back-burner, it wouldn't really be a Zelda game, would it? Nor would it probably be as good.
