Good job?! We went there for oil, and guess what? Gas prices are still high. The government is billions of dollars in debt for the war. Taking out an evil dicattor is not much of an accomplishment, especially when he was found to be of no harm to us(but they might have moved the WMDs.)

...Except we didn't go there for oil. Bush OWNS an oil company, he'd want prices high, so he'd never invade for the sake of oil. And if you think that gas prices can just get miracilously better because we went to war, think again. Unless we found a new oil field or we starting conserving more oil, oil prices will NEVER go down.

Our government has NEVER been in debt. It never will. We will always have some TRILLIONS of dollars in our reserve.

Taking out evil dictators isn't a big accomplishment? My Great-uncle, his sister, his brother, his parents, and most of his friends were MURDERED by an evil dictator so howabouts you think before talking? So he's no harm to us. So we sit back and watch him torture his own people. I wish every country should do that more often. And he WAS a threat to us. He was one of the greatest supporters of terrorism, and he DID have WMD. If EVERY intelligence agency in the world says he has weapons, we go in, and there's no weapons, something is wrong. We gave the man 48 hours. That's more than enough.

Please keep Christian bashing to a minimum. This is mainly the American South (and mainly Evangelical death cults), which is similar to Afghanistan under the Taliban.

Touching.

Smartest post ever made.

There were reports of satalite images of lots of truck convoys at the Iraq=Syrian boarder before the invasion. I wonder what was in them?

War of Oil? HA. Refer to what Wind Sword said.

Regardless of Bush's intensions for invading Iraq, the end justifies the means. Iraq will be better off as a republic than a dictatorship.

Also, someone made a comment about killing 110,000 people in 2 minutes in WW2... Is that refering to dropping the atomic bomb? If so, dropping those 2 bombs was how to beat Japan, without invading and having each and every Japanese person fighting to the death, or killing themselves, resulting in a MUCH higher death rate (both for us, and very high for japan). Some times you have to kill people to save more people.

I'm not saying that the gas prices should be miraculously lowered. Yuo do have good facts about the oil. I personally think that's what it was for though. Even if it wasn't for oil, he had a vendetta. His dad never took Saddam down, so guess who's making his daddy proud? If we want to help people out so much, why don't we go to poverty stricken countries in Africa and South America? What about the other dictators? Kim Jong Il has said that he would use WMDs againnst us if we threathened him. Surely he poses no threat to us a nation? But no, we go to Iraq, against the U.N's wishes and go to find W.M.Ds, which were never found. So what does Bush do? The reason he justifed the war is gone. Suddenly, we have to change Iraq into a republic. I don't see why people still support this stupid war....

Do you really think a 59 (i think) year old man would be that conserned about making daddy proud?

People support the war because Iraq being a republic is a good thing. North Korea has nothing to do with it. I'm in support of going after NK too. Although I believe that when they get a long range missile to go along with their nuke, China will step up.

And there is a difference between helping poverty stricken nations, and changing government. First, I'll start off by saying the US helps out more nations like this than the UN does. Second, I believe its better to give people an opportunity to help themselves, rather than do it for them. Giving them a free country to live in will give them an opportunity to take responsiblity for themselves and make their own lives better. Doing it for them creates dependance.

And lastly, I'd be for getting rid of the UN. I don't care what they say. The UN isn't above all other countrys: It only has the power that the said countries decide to give it. The UN doesn't act on its own resolutions (which Saddam broken many times, at least 10 of them). The UN is more conserned about attacking Israel than promoting peace, and helping out those suffereing from dictatorships.
