Gay Marriage

I also think it should go back on the America Phyciactric List of Mental Illnesses. I also believe in the sactity of marriage. Marriage is only between a man and a woman.

I am for gay marriage, I don't see anything wrong with it, if it makes the 2 people happy. If they're going to be together anyways, what difference does it make? It doesn't affect me, so why should it bother me? If a guy wants to marry his pet turtle it wouldn't bother me.

I have to disagree, as Marriage is supposed to be becoming one with the one you love, and also being gay is not a mental illness, I am bi and I am not mentally ill, so that is a bunch of bull crap, I think I stated what has to be stated.

You cannot change it, just like hwo you can't change your hair or eye color, your genes, etc. Its a part of you. If you're telling me that Gay/Lesbians shouldn't get the same rights as regular married couples, you are insane. They are as equal as a hetero couple and should get the same rights. Thats one thign I hated about my graduation... There was also a study that proved that gay people that were highly motivated to be strait turned strait and led happy lives within 5 years with therapy.

Ever read about Sodom and Gomorrah? I don't see it morally wrong. Morals are an opinion. When people say it is "Morally Wrong", tehy are saying that my opinion on it is that it is wrong. Plus morals can also be described as what you have been told. Form your own opinions and choose your own morals.

That's you're choice, none of my business. I am, against gay marriage. And yes, it's religious ground. No I'm not trying to convert gay people and making them straight, they can do it all they want. But to say that it's okay for them to marry, well sorry. If gay marriage is excepted, than soon everyone will make it out that being gay is okay, which to me and my religion, and BIOLOGY I might add, SCIENCE, is wrong. My children will learn that it is okay to be gay, and there is nothing wrong with it, which frankly, isn't true to me. I will be veiwed as a public enemy, like the KKK or something, becuase I will be ashamed that my country endorses such things, which I don't believe to be right. If this is passes, than the United States of America will essentially teach our children that whatever the Bible says is racist, wrong, or just "old-fashioned". Oh to see the day... It's not like there is something special about marriage anyways. The Bible says that it is the time you can have sex, but being gay itself is like throwing a Bible outside the window. It's shows commitment to one person, but clearly not or the divorce rate would be much lower. For legal reasons I suppose, if you want to murder your husband you can disconnect his tube.
