Women are now have Rights. But they still like to treat with "Lady First". Let's debate about this. Why?

Some women want the rights, but not the consequences. If they want the rights, then they should do the same amount of work. Most women aren't like this, but I know a few who are.

I don't agree with that.If a guy says that to a lady, teasing or not, why wouldn't the lady accept it?

So if we're okay with guys saying that, we can't have our rights?

Hm.

EDIT: By the way, it's not that we don't "resist saying no." If the guy is sincerely offering that the lady goes first, say, through a door... it'd be rude to reply, "No. You go first." Etiquette. If the guy's joking, we go first to spite them.

It just doesn't show that women have more right than men. Does it?

Hey, if I opened the door for a guy and said "Men first," I figure they'd feel a shot to their masculinity.

Girls just generally take advantage of the situation. And are more secure about their gender.

Oh, oh God...

If you're talking about a double-standard between men and women, a more mature point of debate might involve the draft. Men (boys?) of 18 years in the United States are legally required to register for the draft. Doing otherwise is a federal offense. I hear many women petitioning for "equal rights," and yet I don't see women lining up and demanding that they be forced to register for the draft.

Most curious, hmm?

I've always wondered why women want their equal rights but not the "right" to be drafted.

Selective with what rights they want, the females were.

I support no one. I'm merely posing a question that other debators may choose to acknowledge or ignore at their own will.

Truthfully, I'd love to hear from a woman, and at that, one active in women's rights...or at least, a strong believer in such. It makes debating such an issue a more ligitimate and fair undertaking.

Your question seems to concern the hypocrisy of women demanding "equal rights." I'm merely providing another path to debate on. :3

(And just in case any of you are wondering, yes, I do support the draft, and yes, I am a middle-class perfect-health American male. For morale reasons, however, it is my belief that the draft is counter-productive in all but the most extreme situations.)

Haha, the right to be drafted. I figure it's because it's not favorable. I do agree with Marcus that females tend to be selective with their "rights."

I do wonder what would happen if that is suggested though. I imagine that it would cause parents with daughters to get angry: since most tend to view girls as not as fit to join. Feminists... not sure. I'm not active in female rights, so I'm not quite sure how they would respond. It'd be supporting the stereotype that females are weaker physically than men if they went against it, but might cause some other problems if they go for it. An issue indeed.

But there are a lot more things in the military than just physical fitness, there are many jobs that require an education in a field rather than front lines fighting. And in this day and age I would think it requires skill more than it does physical fitness to do well in the battlefield.
