when I play games, like rpg's, I use my mind to think of where to go, and I actually use it. Games like Harvest Moon don't help you out though. |

I don't belive RPG's give much to intelligence, it's most of the time blatantly obvious, but little mini-games that you have to use your brain for are useful. In my view, FPS's are better, it trains your eyes and hands to react quicker, which can give you more agility so to say when doing everyday activites. Puzzle games are the most useful, contributing to problem solving skills and learning techniques to use later in life, good for kids. |

I have not played a single game in over a year. They have completely screwed my life up. I am pretty shy, and rather anti-social. That could of course be hormones, but I do not know yet. Who knows what my first game that I ever played was? Mortal Kombat II. I thought it was soo awesome, I dedicated my life to it. I thought it was so cool, whenever I went to a friend's house I would say, " Hey, let's play Mortal Kombat!" I was 4 at the time. I only broke his arm really bad. Quite frankly, games have also shown me a bright side of my future. I am going to get emancipated pretty soon. And when I do, I will be ready. Games have hardened my personality; I am kind of sour. So, I can take cruel punishment, whatever for the real world. The point is, games are good and bad, but there are sacrifices for both. |

If a kid gets so badly affected by a game that they would stab someone, they need to either go to juvy or have extreme therapy. I think violent games aren't good for anyone because it provokes opinions such as, "Wasn't that sick when his arm got cut off?" I too am guilty of this. |
