Gamecube Technical Difficulties; Help Needed.

Alright, I go to play my nice little black cube and the awesome game Resident Evil 4. So, I proceed to insert the game and turn it on like usual. Until disaster strikes!

I'm incapable of playing the game because it is read as NO DISC. I have tried over and over again to see if there was a problem with the disc itself. Nope, it's perfectly fine.

I also tried playing other games. Same message. No Disc.

I need know what other problems I need to go after, in case I am missing something. I want to play Fire Emblem 8 and RE4 badly, but my Gamecube is failing to read my discs.

Touching.

Smartest post ever made.

Well, I don't have one, nor was I offered one, so this doesn't help me out ONE bit.

Only time I've gotten that error is when I didn't push the disk in all the way. Double-check to make sure when you put in the disk, it makes a little "click" and goes are far as it can.

After reading a small support thingie, some users say it could be because your "laser is not aligned correctly." I'll go look for more information, but that seems to be a common error.

I've been checking those for 3 hours this morning, everything seems alright.

Hm. There's always dust too; one of my friends had a dusty GC, and it refused to work.

Your lens is blocked. The best case scenario is that games will barely work if ever.

The only way you can really get them working is by swabbing the lens with a Q-Tip or something.

And everything like a console has a warranty on it. Thought I'd wager your's has expired.
