Get Raped

Everyone made a big hype about Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Well I went to rent a game yesterday and it was about the only thing I would have gotten. So I put it in and have been playing it for some time. I am truely disapointed. 1) The camera angles suck. I can't see a damn thing. 2) The controls are faulty. When I want to croutch, I end up rolling. 3) The story is not all that interesting... It's very straightforward but maybe too much. 4) It's too difficult for it's genre. It takes me hours to pass one thing. I think at one point I want to send the producer an angry letter. And Australia was like, WTF Mate? Can I get some more opinions? |

Saving the world from peril...with my trusty weapon

Ya, my brother was all like "this game rocks!" I watched it and I was also dissapointed. Same with my friend who is a BIG MGS fan. We thought that they made Snake too "God-like." Like what man can do a back-flip, land on a missile and push it off into the air? So we came to the conclusion that Konami drugged Hideo Kojima. Has to be the only way. |

Story-wise, it was a nostalgic come-back for me. I think it was pretty good. I've been an MGS fan ever since I bought it for the PS1 and haven't turned back since. I'm not so sure how you'd get the camera screwed up though. I was fine with the controls too. But they did make him too much of an action hero, with all of the surreal moves every now and then. Especially that missle though, that was bullshit. |

I know, that pissed me off so much. He is supposed to be a human who is trained in the military. That is about it, none of that fancy shit should of been in there. The storyline was a recreation of the PS1 version, although I found that the PS1 version was better. As in it was a little more challenging, you didn't get a traquilizer on very easy (how my brother plays). They just dissapointed me so....much

Tranq = Lame. What happened to the good ol' days where you had to break the necks of your enemies? Hell, I still do over the tranq gun. Just something about that repeated "Ugh!" sound then the crack. It makes the game pretty wimpy with it, as it decreases the difficulty by a large amount. |

Oh ya, the whole cracking of the neck was supreme. It made the game enjoyable, a lot of people wanted to do that to their enemies. That or shoot them repeatedly. I loved doing that. But the tranq made the game.....DULL. |
