We- Tiltyu and Rylo- have a suggestion for FEFF. As you know, neither of us are “elite” veterans, and cannot see the staff board to know if you've been considering something like this already, but we'd like to throw our idea out in the open. More specifically, another admin and global moderator. Straight to the point; we would like to propose the additions of Haruhi (Harem) as an administrator, and of Duchess of Dragons (Dragon Sniper) to the global moderator position. Rock's busy life means that he cannot be on as often as may be needed. In the case of an emergency, the only one with access to the ACP may be Zephyr. And, if he's not around, what happens then? In addition, putting all the work on two people is certainly stressful. FEFF is a community of 750+ members. Zephyr has his hands full with doing most of the administrator duties. From simple things like name-changes, to things like making updates to the forum itself, there may simply be too much work for him to do alone. Rock, as stated before, is busy with personal things, and cannot get on as often. We believe FEFF needs another addition to the admin team. Haruhi has shown quite a bit of activity since he joined staff. He has proven himself to be level-headed, as well as a diligent worker. We believe that a promotion is overdue for one as dedicated as him. In the case that Haruhi is promoted, what happens to the now-vacant global moderator spot? Haruhi, as is known, kept up quite a bit of activity in the moderating department. Another global moderator may be useful, not only to fill this spot, but to give the staff an odd number, to eliminate the chance of ties in a vote. Duchess of Dragons, like Haruhi, has shown level-headedness, and contributes regularly to FEFF. She has been at the forum for quite a while. She recently obtained the rank of veteran, and is respectful to all members, showing no bias strong enough to skew an important decision. We believe she would make a good addition to the staff of this forum. These are our ideas. They are, as stated previously, just our proposal to the staff. We are not trying to demand, or in any way force our ideas into action, but rather, are simply trying to give our input. Please consider this proposal. Also, please do not make a mockery of our ideas. This is not a joke, but rather a serious suggestion. |

I was involved in the writing of this, and go along with this suggestion, of course. Oh, and Zephyr/Chidori approved of the posting of this suggestion. Thoughts from FEFF? |

I find it wonderful seeing non-staff/vets voicing their opinion, frankly it's more important then the veteran's and staff's. >_< Harem- Harem would make a great administrator, he has much experience in the Global Moderator position and is a hard worker. I really don't have any complaints towards his promotion, in fact you have my full support. My only problem is he hasn't been on lately. Without notice too. Probally his internet service but last time this happened he was gone for a few monthes. o_o Dragon Sniper- She's very nice, and very level headed. She's been a user on this board longer then myself and she's contributed much. I can agree with all of this, but I think promotion to Global Moderator is hasty. I believe she deserves Elite Veteran though. (Advisor). That way she can learn how the staff works on a daily basis, and she'll be able to voice her opinion and contribute on a higher level. Think of it as a test. This all sounds cool, let's see how it turns out.

Interesting. It's good that members are offering acceptable ideas instead of just a random complaint. Bonus point to my reading. +1.
Actually, this is a good idea. Another addition to both teams would be a very good idea in the sense that Zephyr, as well as myself and any others, have started to look for affiliates to help improve the memberbase and active members. I'm sure if we do in fact gain more members that the need for another administrator and a global moderator will be required.
You have to dig up Harem yourselves and drag his ass back to us, because we don't know where he is a lot. For Dragon Sniper, I don't know if she could take up the responsibility, but with how slow some things are, I'm sure she could excel past both myself and SentMAIL. But it's just a speculation.
Headshots. That's what happens if he's not around then. But I really havn't seen Harem around that often these days(since he's probably out working or something), so I don't know how that would work.
Yea, And since he's not really around actively during EST morning(where I am, and I get so damn lonely without him), but typically I'm around to moderate, so if I see something crazy going on, I'll be quick to stop it, then notify any of the two current admins.
Yea. He's like the working side of Zephyr(as in hard/obvious working), and the light-hearted silly side of like... Bosco/Myself. xD
I typically don't mind seeing Harem get promoted as an admin, because he probably deserves it. He has been keeping up, but he'd have to stop his current week long absence and get back here if he wants to accept it. And yea, another global moderator should fill that spot up, possibly even two if member activity starts to go up, even if just a little bit, higher. Voting thing? Eeeeeh... I don't really think having an odd or even number matters. Some people like to vote and then just not give a reason why, making thier vote non-void. D_S is level-headed and contributes. Yea. She actually dose give some good input on how things should be(to me at least), and she seems like the type of rational thinker we need(with a few of the others on logical duty). I wouldn't mind having her on the team, I just don't really know how well she would keep up. It is work after all. With how things might stand though, for the administrative part, Lucas might get his position back, which would render Harem's promotion useless. But D_S might be able to get a moderation spot on the team if she can prove herself to be able to take it on.
At least you did the right thing in proposing this idea, instead of just sitting back. Actually shows some compassion that you care about being around here and want to stick around for a while now. I think we should take your ideas into deep consideration, and hopefully we pull through with them. Thanks for taking the time to right all of this up. ~ Ramza |

Simply put, I'd like to see Harem as an Admin, but would not want to see Dragon as a Mod. Harem has good experience. Dragon is just...eh. She has the right spirit, but like Bosco said, it would be better for her to become an Elite Vet or something. I'm done. ;D ![]() |

On Harem I would approve, on Duchess I would not. The latter because I don't think she can handle being potentially insulted. Sorry, but that comes with power. I don't know why she hasn't been promoted to advisor when I have, though. I probably haven't been here half as long. A suggestion before making staff suggestions: make sure the people actually want to fill the jobs before deciding to pressure them into it. If they agreed to this then let it rip. I would like to see less administrators and global moderators. The current administrators may not be god tier, but they're suitable for the time being (not sure for how much longer, but as long as someone doesn't rock the boat too hard...) I don't feel we're in a huge moderation slump. The lower tier moderators in my opinion actually have a heavier workload. Helping them out would be more beneficial; their demands are more immediate. The top doesn't need any more weight. |

I'm skeptical on the whole deal. Dragon Sniper is a level headed person, but when personally attacked can be prone to what she, herself, refers to as emoangstrage. Now as much as I like her, I think a global mod position is not yet suited for her, simply because this staff works in a very, very unorthodox manner that she may not be accustomed to. An Elite Vet who's allowed to see the staff forum as a test is a fair step, in my opinion. I'm still horrendously undecided on the idea of Harem as administrator. I like the guy, but I think he's best suited for the position he's in now, which I believe he does with some level of flare and gusto. I also don't feel there's a need for another admin at the moment. I think Rock and Feez do the job just fine. If they really wanted someone else, I think they'd have already promoted someone to fill in Lucas' spot at the moment, someone who's willing to back down in the chance that Lucas returns to his admin spot. Uh...I had more to say but my brain farted. |

Okay, so it seems I may not have been too judgemental on Dragon Sniper. I only know her through what she posts here, really. Don't kill me plz Sniper.

Ill be honest.. This idea is actual what FEFF needs. There are to many problems for one admin to handle on thier own, and Rock popping in now and then doesn't let all the work that could be done isnt getting done. And DS is a very sound and reasonable voice, so again, a well placed vote of confidence. Im all for this. As for insults, thats why thier are members that support them, so we can bash down any people who want to shoot someone else down. |

There are those who may not be supportive of them and for valid reasons, and they deserve an equal say in the matter. And constructive criticism can very easily offend some people, when it shouldn't. That's what I'm worried about. Seeing how I supply it often, are you going to bash me now? |
