He comes with a great weapon and is a decent replacement if your Guy got RNG raped. You have to choose Harken over him. Harken has better supports(Eliwood, Lowen compared to... Guy(Who isn't being used in your scenario, since he got RNG raped?) and Geitz) and bonuses to offer(More way in the evasion than minor defense). This reason is amplified in HHM, due to the strong bonuses that Harken gains.

Karla is totally useless, and she also requires you to train Bartre in order to even recruit her. Ick. Choosing to use her makes your team substantially worse even before she joins.

Still, I use him and if you don't kill the dragon in that first round, his Fortify works wonders.

Still, I use him and if you don't kill the dragon in that first round, his Fortify works wonders. Even more wonders on a magic user with an actually good MAG stat....

I'd much rather have Athos casting Fortify, since Renault's Fortify is only healing 22 Hp, and the Dragon does 37 Dmg. Even if Renault uses Fortify, people need over 52 Hp to survive the Dragon's counterattack and its attack on the enemy phase, and not many units have that. Renault's still got more use than Karla, though.

My rooming is horrible. Posts: 4,885 Group: Veteran Member #17 Joined: June 8, 2005	But neither one of them actually get a fortify staff from the start, not to mention the hard part about actually getting the S in Staves instead of Light (For Lucius anyway)
