Ok, Niime vs. Zealot? Pssht, easy peazy. Let us look at some stats

Quote:

Zealot: Lv. */20
HP:49.3
POW:14.7
SKL:15.8
SPD:16.8
DEF:16.7
RES:9.8
LCK:7.8

Quote:

Niime: Lv. */20
HP:25.5
POW:21.3
SKL:20.3
SPD:16.3
DEF:5.3
RES:18.4
LUCK:15.1

So basically, it looks like Zealot is like an angry wife, just sits there and takes it.

His speed is ok for low-tier, but his luck is fairly dismal, which means he is going to be hit, and hit often. Niime, on he other hand, has some Evd., which means, though she is being OH or THKO's, she has a chance to dodge the attack, and possibly live.

No such luck with Zealot. He can take a few hits, but, with his skill and speed, is not going to be hitting back or doubling, which is bad news for a paladin, who can only really fight on the front line. He also isn't going to be dodging.

Zealot comes in during Ch. 7, which is hell in hard mode, but he isn't going to be used more than two chapters after that, probably because EVERY PALADIN IN THE GAME IS BETTER THAN HIM, and will catch up soon enough.

Niime can fight long-range with magic, heal with staves, and is marginally useful late game. Zealot, on the other hand, isn't.

Niime's evade is hardly something to boast about, it's pretty awful. At least Zealot has good defense.

Ah yes, Chapter 7 IS HELL in hard mode. The Wyverns have higher stats than the boss, you have a limited time to recruit Treck, enemies come from behind as you enter the last area of it, there is no shortage of enemies, and they're all pretty tough.

Zealot is EXCEPTIONALLY useful on that chapter because most of your units are pretty low on levels and he has the highest HP as well as the highest Defense unless your Marcus got really lucky with the RNG. This makes Zealot the best character that you can use on Chapter 7.

Niime's support options

Hugh - 20/60/80 turns
Yodel - 20/60/80 turns
Rei - 59/60/80 turns
Sophia - 59/60/80 turns
Fa - 59/60/80 turns

All too slow and all with pretty unuseful units except Rei.

Zealot's support options

Noah - 25/30/40 turns
Treck - 25/30/40 turns
Yunno - 7/20/27 turns
Tate - 30/60/80 turns
Thany - 30/60/80 turns

I'd rather use Cecilia, at least she's mounted. Zealot in late game can be at the frontlines, rescue wounded units and bring them back, ferry supplies, and more.

Sure, Zealot can get hit three times. But, every time he gets attacked, he's going to be hit, and he's going to be doubled, especially in Sacae Route. Niime's evade is better than Zealot's, which is what we're debating here.

Yes, I agree. Congratulations, Zealot is fairly valuable in one chapter. He's good in about two after that, until the other horseman catch up. Then, useless. Niime is good from the time you get her until the end of the game.

About the supports. Sure, they're fastish, but how many of those characters are you going to be using?Treck and Noah are painfully mediocre, you won't get Juno if you go the good (Sacae) route, thany is fairly sucky, and Tate is even worse than Thany. I can't see any of these characters being used except for Treck and Noah, and even they will drag you down in HM.

Cecelia's magic sucks compared to Niime's, niime is getting one more distance with physic than Cecilia is, even with Cecelia's extra movement, and she heals more. At the end of the Sacae route, Zealot is getting doubled by everything. One Nomad trooper and one nomad will fell him, a couple of the troopers with higher Str. will kill him by themselves. He CANT BE EXPOSED to any sort of battle, so he can't be at the front. He can ferry units and supplies, but you should be prepared enough to have all the supplies you need, and having an extra unit exclusively for rescuing is pointless.
