Cormag & Tana v. Dozla & Garcia Let's skip to the chapter Dozla joins, chapter 11. At a rate of 1.5 levels per chapter...: Garcia lvl 13/0 Fighter HP: 35.2 POW: 13.8 SKL: 10.6 SPD: 8.8 DEF: 7.3 RES: 2.3 LUC: 6.6 Dozla lvl ??/1 Berserker HP: 43 POW: 16 SKL: 11 SPD: 9 DEF: 11 RES: 6 LUC: 4 Tana lvl 7/0 Pegasus Knight HP: 21.9 POW: 8.4 SKL: 10.2 SPD: 14.9 DEF: 6.6 RES: 7.8 LUC: 9.8 Cormag lvl 10/0 Wyvern Rider HP: 30.8 POW: 14.5 SKL: 9.4 SPD: 10.4 DEF: 12.3 RES: 2.1 LUC: 4.3 As we can see, the levels vary quite a bit, buut there's nothing we can really do about that. If I keep going at 1.5 levels, it's still gonna vary. So these stats are basically useless. Maybe we could look at them at 20/5? Garcia lvl 20/5 Warrior HP: 47 POW: 21.8 SKL: 17 SPD: 11 DEF: 13 RES: 7 LUC: 11 Dozla lvl ??/5 Berserker HP: 46.4 POW: 18 SKL: 12.4 SPD: 10.6 DEF: 12.2 RES: 7.0 LUC: 5.2 Tana lvl 20/5 Falcoknight HP: 38 POW: 18 SKL: 17 SPD: 24 DEF: 12 RES: 14 LUC: 20 Cormag lvl 20/5 Wyvern Lord HP: 46.8 POW: 23.6 SKL: 17 SPD: 16.7 DEF: 17.7 RES: 4.2 LUC: 9.3 Well, thses stats are telling us that Dozla really sucks compared to everybody else. He'd probably be a higher level than everybody else, since he already came promoted. And he STILL would suck. I'll leave it here, for now. Until I have something to work with. |

Oh shit, I forgot this thing existed. I'll just do a brief quote. This is completely ludicrous; for this to happen, Tana would - by your first comparison - 18 levels to Dozla's 4. Tana is fragile at the start. Dozla is not. Dozla deals out the hurt way more than Tana. This is NOT going to happen. So, you did a useless comparison? Nice going. Why bother? Look at the stats at 20/5? As I said above, that's absolutely stupid. Dozla and Garcia will pretty much always be at a higher level than either Tana or Cormag. Ok, because I don't have much time (already way over limit, lulz) I'll just write something that comes into my head. . . . your team doesn't exist. Why would Cormag want to support Tana - frail, underlevelled, sucky-affinity Tana - when he has the solid Duessel with the anima affinity and then Natasha, who gives avoid (more useful to him than atk, for sure)? Answer: he wouldn't. Garcia and Dozla? Of course they want each other, I'll let you figure out why. yay 5-minute posts |

At the start, yeah. But Cormag and Tana will soon surpass Dozla and Garcia. Dozla, being promoted, will be getting nowhere in experience, so Cormag, Tana, and Garcia will all be catching up quickly.
Tana can actually keep up with Cormag, unlike his other support options, which limit him by keeping him back, or else losing the bonuses by separating. Also, Dozla and Garcia suck, meaning that they are a boon just by being in spots where better units could be, those units being most of FE8's roster. Tana is borderline, but Cormag is obviously good enough to be in your roster. -is also too lazy to get proof for any of this- But hey, it's common knowledge that your units suck. EDIT: Fuck, 8 minutes. |

They're going to be . . . what? Level 14 or 15. That's quite a sizable gap. But that's only the gap between GARCIA and Dozla. Cormag and Tana arrive underlevelled. Quite badly underlevelled. In Cormag's case, HORRENDOUSLY underlevelled on Eirika's route. He actually joins AFTER Dozla as a level 7 wyvern rider or something like that. Lulz. So on Eirika's route, Cormag will be non-existant when Dozla joins, and Tana will be something like level 9 or 10. Unpromoted, of course. On Ephraim's route they'd both be about the same level. Maybe with Cormag slightly lower/higher. My memory's a little sketchy. So, catching up quickly? Garcia, quite probably. Cormag and Tana? Highly unlikely they'll come close to him until the game ends.
Yeah yeah, whatever. Just as long as we're clear that Cormag can't GET any other support options bar Tana, and Tana wanting him is questionable. Tana has plausible options in Ephraim, Innes and Eirika. And Marisa if she's fielded for some reason, but meh.
. . . You are aware that when you refer to something as a boon, you mean that it is a positive thing, right?
Hey, if the opposite team admits having Garcia and Dozla on your team is a boon, then we're halfway there, right?
I would say it's the other way around, in actual fact, but meh. I see no proof of anything either way.
