Of all his toys, his absolute favourite was his toy firetruck, with a working ladder, and flashing headlights. Whenever he got home from school, he would go and play with his firetruck. He'd put out raging fires, and rescue people from blazing buildings, and speed through the streets with his sirens blaring. One day, however, misfortune struck, and Little Jimmy broke his firetruck. He was devastated and spent most of the day crying. His Mom came to comfort him: "Little Jimmy, Christmas is just a month away. If you behave, Santa will bring you a new fire truck." This filled little Jimmy with hope. So for that month, he was the most immaculate child he could possibly be. He did his chores, got excellent grades in school, played nice with the other kids, kept his room tidy, and was generally a little saint. Christmas morning rolled around, and Jimmy leapt from his bed bright and early. He ran downstairs, straight to the biggest present he could find. "To Little Jimmy, From Santa" His heart pounding, he ripped open the paper and opened the box and found the coolest, shiniest new firetruck toy ever! This one not only had a working ladder and lights, but a miniature fire hose, and voices that sounded from the truck when you pressed some buttons. He loved it. Jimmy spent all day playing with that firetruck, racing around the house and once again saving the day from all the fires. He was a hero. Later that evening, Jimmy went up to his mom, hugging his new firetruck to him. "Mommy, when I grow up, I want to be a fireman" he proclaimed proudly. His mom smiled sweetly at him: "Oh Jimmy, you're not going to grow up. You have AIDS."
