Solid Being needed =/= being a great unit. Don't be stupid. Merlinus has such utility it cancels out his inability to fight (Merlinus can actually fight, he's a beast at fighting VIA his merchanting). I never said Merlinus was bad, I just think he's massively overrated. He's obviously a very, very useful unit but I question the extent of his usefulness if you need to further decrease the units in your already small fighting force to guard him. The first time I mentioned fighting was in this context: Reaver Merlinus is very, VERY useful, but his inability to do the most necessary function (fight) and the need for one to divert units away from action to defend him bugs me.

For such a big tournament, I don't think it's unreasonable to have three debaters with the same unit as long as none of them are facing one another. Especially after the first few rounds; people might not want to defend the exact same character that long (32 debaters = D:).
