And I have to post in my FE8 debate, too. debating is so time-consuming. ;_; Well, starting off, I suppose I don't have to do much. Erk actually has a use for the first ten chapters or so, and won't be coming underpowered, either, as he'll be around level 6 from Lyn's route. Concerning supports, Erk will not want Priscilla, the gains being so sucky. Serra gets, defense-wise, the same gains from Hector, Erk, and Oswin. But who's going to be in the back with her? Ah, Erk is. Though at the rate of their supports, she'll be wanting lovin' from Hector as well, because Ozzy is so slow. Unfortunately, his better support options come later. Skipping to where Isadora starts, Erk will probably be at the same level, and with a C with Serra. ...Okay. I posted. Now, my enemy. Do the stuff where you post stats and pretend Isadora is better than Erk and such. I'm too lazy to right now.

Erk arrives not underlevelled, Isadora arrives overlevelled AND has the benefit of not costing 10k to promote. Well, regardless, and just in case you’re actually suggesting that Erk would support with the below-par Serra, I’d like to point out that: -Priscilla has better supports -Priscilla belongs to a better class -Priscilla uses the better weapon There’s a reason she’s banned, you know. There’s no need to pretend, darling. Well, okay, I’m also to lazy to bring up stats, so I’ll just go ahead and tell you how lovely the Paladin class is~ Positives of the Paladin class: -8 movement -The ability to move after certain actions -Control of the weapon triangle That’s only three things, right? But those three things are huge points. Let’s take WT control for now. So, by being on the positive end of the triangle, Isadora can gain 1 Def and 15 Evd. This would be equivalent to 1 Def (stat) and 7.5 speed. And as you know, 7.5 speed is a fairly sizable amount. What does this mean? Well, considering that a lot of the time Isadora will be on the good side of the triangle - a much larger percentage than the time she’ll be neutral or on the bad side - this effectively gives her a boost to defence for most of the time. This is not including any terrain or support bonuses she can - and probably will - get. Erk will hardly ever get WTA. There are a pitiful number of light magic users in this game. Most of the enemies are mages, and a fair few are shamans. The best Erk can hope for is to stay neutral to the triangle. And then what about the other two points - move after and 8 MOV? Well, these give Isadora a staggering range of utility. She can rush in, rescue a unit in danger, and then hurry back to the healers. She can move forward to help take care of a problematic enemy. She can rescue Hector to help him make it to the throne quicker, and thus help your tactics rank. She can do all sorts of things. I don’t care if you say ‘there are others who can do this’. This is stuff Isadora can do, and Erk can’t.
