uhm, sorry for the delay. I've been a bit busy >____>; Judging by joining situations, Klein has some advantages over Zeiss... -Assuming we go through the A route, Klein joins in chapter 11. Counting Gaidens, Klein is there for almost 8 more chapters (since Zeiss joins almost at the very end of Ch. 16) than Zeiss. Significant advantage for Klein, here. -When Klein joins, he is one of the best units you have. When Zeiss joins, he sucks. Klein is excellent at weakening units. Zeiss needs someone to weaken enemies so he can kill. -Supports. By the time Zeiss joins, Klein is almost full supported. He starts benefiting units since before Zeiss joins. Other advantages Klein has... -Klein is a prepromote, meaning he is 10k less expensive than Zeiss, so he can use some of that gold to buy nice weaponry, like killer bows, to make your life easier. -Klein can use terrain to get a defensive bonus. Zeiss can't. -Zeiss is weak to arrows and Aircalibur. Klein is strong against wyverns, the most common type of enemy in the game. Now, a bit about routes... At Illia. Chapters 17~18: Pegasus Knights' AS samples... Steel lance-8 AS Javelin/Axereaver--10 AS Killer Lance--12 AS If Klein is ??/7, he has 15.3 AS. Klein doubles and kills the ones with Steel, Javelins and Axereavers. With a steel bow, he OHKOs any Peg. Knight. Falco Knights have 42 HP, 9 Def. Klein doesn't double, but with a single use of a silver bow, he kills. Being generous to Zeiss, and putting him at level 12, he has 12.8 AS. He only doubles the ones with Steel. Klein is clearly doing better here. On a side note, there is a significant number of ballistas at Illia. Sucks to be Zeiss. At Sacae... Most common type of enemy here are unpromoted Nomads, who attack Zeiss from a distance, double him, have bonus against him, and Zeiss has a very little chance of landing a hit with a Javelin. Klein can counter with his bow and survives more easily. Klein is a unit who requires zero effort to raise and is more useful overall. Klein>Zeiss. |
