I'd just use Nino, honestly. She has accurate 1~2 range and broken growths. WJC is right. It's easier and better to just use her. The only better option I can see is keeping Raven at level 5 and busting him out really late in the game. |

Rath could work as you might be able to slap a steel bow on him and let him finish wyverns. Rebecca's worse than Bartre due to non-existent Atk......a L5 Rebecca has only 5-6 Str, and only doubles Knights (which she does 0 damage to), have fun trying to feed kills to that. Base Nino has more Pow and Speed than L5 Erk, though Erk is faster with Thunder, so I guess that's worth something. L5 Lucius is very similar to base Nino. And keeping Raven at L5 the whole game is fail for obvious reasons...... Anyway, the main advantage of Nino is that she is forced into NoF. To use anyone else, you have to give up a slot which could've been going to a decent combat unit, while Nino is going to be there either way. So you might as well just use her. |

Obvious reasons? You don't have to use him. Plenty of other units are amazing. Raven can actually rape stuff later on with his HHM boosted stats and level up quickly. |

The main reason not to use Raven would be his inability to utilise ranged weaponry. Anyway, you said Nino would be good for the Exp rank. All I mentioned was that plenty other units can do that. If you use her for just Exp anyway, you might as well use another unit if he/she can just hit and kill single-digit HP enemies. I didn't intend to get in a discussion about which units are best for the Exp rank later in the game. |

What, using Raven? Definitely wouldn't be hard, no, but it'd probably still be better to use someone who can use ranged weaponry, for Raven will still have pretty bad durability if he didn't get trained at all. |

His durability would shoot up really quickly and he can use Lancereavers to beat out all of those lances around. You can also start using him before Nino, anyways. |

Avoiding Raven and the Cavaliers I can understand . . . maybe even Oswin. But avoiding Guy? After the earlygame (when he still can die to lances pretty easily), just don't give him supports, and he'll play like a normal unit. Or, alternatively, don't give him Killer Weapons, and then he'll really be mediocre. |

Only a few other units match Raven's combat prowess in the earlygame, in this sense he is very difficult to replace. Multiple units can be used to pad the EXP rank in the lategame with a decent output, in this sense Raven is very easy to replace. |

Raven is still better than most of these characters. They're good, sure, but it's not like they're Raven's caliber. lol @ Marcus/Oswin. Oswin's not doing to have nearly the same offensive output as Raven and Marcus isn't going to get nearly the EXP gains. Hector and Eliwood probably won't match Raven either, especially when they're going to cap and be useless for a couple chapters. If anything, those two should go on the backburner once you get enough units to replace them because they're in no rush to hit 20/0. |

If Raven is better (power-leveled Lyn and Kent = rape) it's not by much, so Idc about using him tbqh. I want Geitz over Wallace so I level up my Lords. |

I dunno. Raven's going to have more power than Lyn and he'll be fast enough to make any speed difference negligible, especially with high higher CON. I suppose the Geitz point is true, although you only really need your lords to get about 1 level per chapter for this to happen so it's not like they really need constant use. |
