I have FE9, but I sort of stopped around chapter 10 and never really got back into it. With FE10 here though, I'm considering trying the game again. Should I play on hard (or whatever the hardest difficulty is)? When I play a game, I normally go for an easier difficulty the first time, and then go for a harder one if I feel like playing again. I'm not the best Fire Emblem player, but I am interested in a challenge. How hard is the hard mode? Is it worth a try or no. Also, any general tips I should be aware of, aside from the usual Fire Emblem stuff? |

Hard mode is a total joke. Barely harder than FE8, IMO. |

Start on hard mode. Titania makes the game easy no matter what, though. |

When you distribute bexp give it to someone like Ryhs who can't fight or Soren & other units that start out weak. Don't bother forging until you're a good ways into the game. Pick a team and stick with it. Don't try getting every individual unit strong. Mordecai > Lethe. Use that to get you started. |

Or don't. As long as you don't blow it on, like, Titania early on, you're fine.
I'd actually say forge asap. If a unit attacks with a forged weapon, it's almost a guaranteed one round. |

Why would you ever give Titania bexp? Only if its a silver type or something else on that level. Forging something like steel is a waste of money. Unless you really need it. |

Forging Steel Weapons, or hell even an Iron or two early on, is not a waste. People really don't start naturally one rounding things till like chapter 13 or 14, even later for some, and forged weapons correct that. |

With the money you spend forging steel & iron weapons, you could be buying something more useful. |

Forged weapons are awesome. What on earth could be more useful than a weapon that makes even weak characters able to one-round stuff? Also, you seem to forget how much money FE9 throws at you. |

Forging is awesome... only as long as its not any sort of iron or steel type weapon.
Maybe I did because IIRC you didn't have the money to waste forging pitiful iron & steel type weapons. |

If a forged steel/iron weapons can make units one round stuff, how is it bad? The fact that it's got ''steel'' or ''iron'' in it's name doesn't instantly make it phail.
No, you can easily afford to buy forged weapons a lot, if not all, of the time. |
